What are the Punic Wars?
The Punic wars were a series of 3 wars fought between Rome and Carthage. Carthage was a powerful city-state in Northern Africa, who would establish themselves as a strong naval power. The Punic Wars would last nearly 120 years, with Roman as the victor of all three. The Punic Wars would end with Rome capturing and destroying Carthage, and Rome paving the way to developing their vast Mediterranean empire.
